A Rousing St. George's Day

To celebrate St George's Day we performed in a concert hosted by the Royal British Legion and held at Tennants in Leyburn. The whole afternoon was a flag-waving success.

As ever, we loved performing some of our favourite songs, including The Lion King, The Gospel Train and Sister Act.

We shared the stage with the Wonderful Thirsk Royal British Legion Brass Band, who played a mixed set that included 'Oklahoma' and a theme from 'Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone'

The afternoon ended with a number of songs for the audience to join in with, starting with some favourites from the First World War, as well as rousing renditions of 'Jerusalem', 'Land of Hope and Glory' and 'Rule Britania'. It was fantastic to see the audience waving their Royal British Legion flags with gusto along with the music.

It was the most enjoyable afternoon and we would like to thank the Royal British Legion for inviting us to take part - we loved it!
