A Charity Concert at Colburn Village Hall

A Concert for Jack Weaver, CLIC Sargant and Royal Victoria Infirmary's Oncology Unit.

What a wonderful evening we had at Colburn Village Hall, welcomed by Angie Dale Chair of Richmondshire District Council & District Councillor for Colburn and Melanie Bell Mayor of Colburn.

It is always lovely performing to an new audience and this evenings visit just down the road to Colburn, was a very welcome one, we were greeted with the warmest of receptions from residents of Colburn, friends and family. In return we sang two sets of music including some old and some new favourites, our musical director Carol Gedye gave an impassioned speech about the charities for which this event was formed, after eyes were wiped dry, the grand total was announced and we sang Joyful, Joyful. "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, its about learning to dance in the rain"!

Our beautiful choir member Vicky , Mummy to Jack Weaver, thanked everyone for coming to support the event and for her fellow WAGS for singing. The well ran silent auction and raffle was boosted by donations from locals businesses and was very successful.

We were all delighted to entertain Colburn and we left the building having put a big tick against one of our favourite performances. Thank you to everyone who came to hear us and raise over a thousand pounds for the three charities.
