How to Join the Military WAGS Choir

We are always on the look out for new members and believe that we are a very warm, welcoming and inclusive choir. However we do have certain criteria for membership as follows:

If you meet one (or more) of the following criteria, you are eligible to join the choir:

  • Military Wife/Civil Partner
  • Affiliate (e.g. mum/daughter of a member of the Armed Forces, teacher in a Garrison school, working in an MOD establishment)
  • Long-term girlfriend of member of the Armed Forces
  • Servicewoman

There is no audition process and no need to read music, the emphasis is on having fun and meeting new people.

We currently have an open door for new members, we meet every Thursday during term times and the committee are there from 5.30 onwards, if you can get there early it gives us chance to welcome you, give you an information packs and pair you up with an existing member for the evening.

Your first rehearsal is free of charge and we do have a free crèche but places are limited so need to be booked in advance, to ensure that we meet the required staffing ratios. Crèche places can be booked by emailing

Rehearsals are held every Thursday in term-time from 6pm to 7.30pm.
